Tourism activity is beginning to recover well and Tunisia is in the process of hosting not less than 6.5 million visitors in 2017.
According to the first available figures, 2,516,716 tourists were registered as of June 30, 2017, i.e. up 36.1% compared to 2016 but down 23% compared to the corresponding period of 2014, according to president Of the Tourism Observatory, Afif Kchouk.
Quoted by the daily Al-Maghreb, he said that this recovery has concerned the European and Maghreb markets, with the exception of Russia.
Revenue at May 30, 2017 amounted to 546.4 million dinars, compared to 516 MTD in the same period of 2015.
