A Tunisian-Libyan business forum will be held on May 3, in Tunis, in the presence of economic officials, representatives of professional organisations and co-operation structures of the two countries, the Tunisian Ministry of Trade announced Wednesday.

The forum, whose opening will be chaired by Minister of Trade Omar Behi and Governor of the Central Bank Marwan Abassi, will discuss issues related to exchange transactions, administrative procedures, transport and logistics that face several problems in because of the security situation in Libya.

The situation of Libyan investments in Tunisia has slightly improved recently, allowing the re-opening of the Laico Hotel (formerly Abu Nawas), under the “Libya Africa Portfolio”, after several postponements and a delay of around 8 years.
