The Chinese SONATRACH company specialising in the industrialisation of tractors wants to invest in Tunisia through the implementation of a project worth more than 30 million dinars to generate 1,000 jobs, said the company’s general manager for the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

Minister of Industry, Small and Medium Enterprises Slim Fériani met with the Director General of SONATRACH in charge of the Middle East, Africa and Europe who underlined the importance of this project which will allow produce 1,000 tractors a year.

Ferian has discussed with the Chinese official and the accompanying delegation the prospects for investment in the field of industrialisation of tractors and the benefits that could be granted to this company with a view to encouraging and improving its production rate of inclusion, especially as it occupies the third place internationally in terms of tractors industrialisation.

The minister highlighted the government’s concern to boost investment, improve the pace of exports and support promising sectors.
