Tunisia will complete on Wednesday its official accession to the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) during the Summit of Heads of State and Government of member countries set on July 18-19 in Lusaka, Zambia.

Foreign Affairs Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui was tasked by President Beji Caid Essesbi with leading a Tunisian delegation in this summit.

Trade Minister Omar Behi had represented Tunisia in the works ahead of this summit that will see the participation of heads of state and government of member countries, trade ministers, ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions.

Tunisia will complete with its accession to the COMESA, efforts made by the authorities since January 2016 so as to become a member of this economic grouping hat gathers 20 African states and some 625 million inhabitants.
