“Smiths Interconnect”, leading global provider of electronic, sub-system, high frequency and radio frequency components used in aircraft and train industry, is planning to launch a second branch in Tunisia, its President Karen Bomba announced.

Speaking at a meeting held Thursday with Development, Investment and International Co-operation Minister Zied Laadhari, Bomba voiced satisfaction at the success recorded by the “Smiths Connectors Tunisia” branch that was set up in 2008 in Monastir and became one of the group’s main branches.

Bomba further highlighted during this meeting, held on the fringes of her visit to the company’s production units, the development and improvement of the business and investment climate, stressing the existence of high skills and the country’s strategic position that has encouraged the company to create a second branch.

For his part, Laadhari expressed the readiness of his ministry and its structures and administrations to provide the necessary support and assistance to the company so as to start the setting-up of the second branch as soon as possible and in the best conditions.
