The Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, met at the Council of Ministers on Tuesday with the World Bank Group Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa Ferid Belhaj.
The meeting, attended by Foreign Minister Mohamed Sayala and Minister of Planning, Taher Jahaimi, addressed the latest developments of the economic file and the reforms planned to address the distortions in the financial and economic situation.
The meeting also discussed ways of the World Bank’s contribution to the recovery of the Libyan economy and supporting the government in the bottlenecks affecting the key service sectors.
Al-Sarraj referred to the need to discuss the details of the economic and financial aspects with the Minister of Planning, the appointed ministers, and the Senior Political Committee, stressing that he will make further efforts to alleviate the suffering of the citizens without costing them any additional burdens.
