The World Bank (WB) disbursed, on September 20, 2018, a support to the budget of € 412.3 million (about 1.344 billion dinars), in favour of Tunisia, under the development policy loan “Investment, Competitiveness, Social Economy and Financial Inclusion “(granted to Tunisia on June 27, 2018), the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) said in a statement.

This loan is subject to concessionary financial terms, with a repayment term of 28 years, including 5 years of grace.

This financial resource aims to promote private investment, the social and solidarity economy and improve the energy performance of Tunisia.

It also boosted the country’s foreign currency holdings to 78 days of import, compared with 70 days previously.
