The Tunisian Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Minister Anouar Maarouf announced in a press conference along with his Algerian colleague Minister Houda-Imane Faraoun, the decision taken by the two departments to cancel roaming charges between Tunisia and Algeria.

There is a “common will” of omitting the surcharges on calls by “establishing the one network area that will allow citizens of the two countries to feel at home” said the Tunisian minister.

The two ministers announced that they have instructed the various telecommunication companies of the two countries, to make the technical and commercial provisions for the implementation of this agreement.

Both the Tunisian ministry of information and communication technology , a Tunisian ministry concerned with the ICT and digital economy sectors and the Algerian ministry of Post, Telecommunications, Technologies and Digitalization which is the ministerial branch of the Algerian government in charge of post and telecommunications,   aim to make a revolution in this sector by the various projects they are making.
